A Message from Pastor Bob Mosely
This is Bob Mosely – Pastor of First Church Ministries. I would like to share some of my involvement in and my dreams for Hidden Springs Mission.
Over 20 years ago, I started taking groups of teens and adults to Hidden Springs on the Reservation. I remember telling the Navajos that we would be back the next year & each year after that because we were interested in forming long-term relationships. We love them! Bill Manning was one of the original teens that went with our group, and it had a tremendous effect on him.
Bill soon took over leadership of the trip, and I watched as the ministry expanded. Lives were changed and suddenly the work was growing by leaps & bounds! God blessed these trips and prompted the Mannings to begin considering moving from Virginia to Arizona.
Grace, Bill, and their girls are now living in Hidden Springs full time & and have started a nonprofit to walk alongside the Navajos to meet their needs together. The opportunities are exploding. Bill & Grace are ministering in ways that I had never even dreamed of and frankly, in ways that many Navajos have never thought were possible.
Over the years, Bill & Grace have broken down walls of distrust and doubt that Navajos have built up. They have gained the trust of the community and are now looked to as community leaders.
Simply put, the biggest obstacle they now face is finances. The opportunities are huge, but seeing these projects become a reality requires money. Unfortunately, some of these endeavors cannot be taken on because of the lack of funds.
With this in mind, I ask you to please consider one or all of the following:
- make an end of year gift to help us reach our goal of $25,000 before the end of 2020.
- become a monthly financial supporter.
- pray and ask God what He would have you do.
