Happy November, friends! Can you believe it’s almost the end of 2019?? We’re looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving + Christmas with family & friends and all the events we have planned in-between.
The girls are wrapping up their fall sports + activities. While they’re sad to see them end, Bill & I are a little bit excited to have our evenings slightly free from practices & activities – haha.
I recently started subbing for the district where Bill teaches + the girls attend school. It’s been great to meet more of the community and to be close to the fam during the day.
Thank you for praying for our Thanksgiving Gathering on Sunday, November 24th. We plan on hosting a dinner with the church for the community after our worship service that day.
In December, we have two groups coming out to the Reservation. First Church Ministries in Newport News, VA is sending eight people to host community events along with a gift giveaway for the children.
We also have two gentlemen who will be here doing some much-needed work on the property: in the church, on the waterline, and in the bunkhouse, etc.
To prepare for our Christmas events, HSM is doing a clothes drive for winter gear that is needed for those in our community. If you’d like to help in that area, we’ve created an Amazon Wishlist of items that will benefit those attending. Thanks to those of you who have already purchased some items!

Another project we are undertaking is a new playground for the property. The previous structure was taken down because it was deteriorating and becoming dangerous. No thank you to any hurt bodies on our watch!
Our hope is to have at least twelve organizations commit to raise a minimum of $1000 each to fund an industrial playground for the property. This structure would be used by Hidden Springs Bible Church, the children who visit & attend HSM events, and the visiting groups who host VBS + community gatherings.
