OCTOBER 2019

Happy October, sweet friends! It’s hard to believe that the fall season is upon us, but here it is – staring us right in the face – haha…

Some of you know of our water situation that we had come up the other week:

There’s a leak in our main water line. We switched over to spring water for the time being. We’ll need to determine where the leak is and fix the leak before getting hooked back up to the city water. Please pray that the leak would be an easy fix, that Bill would have the time + tools/materials to fix the leak, and that the spring water supply would be sufficient until we can fix the problem.

We’re happy to report that we are hooked back up to city water! Bill talked to our neighbor across the highway about our possible leak, and she let him know that the utility company sometimes lowers the water pressure or even turns it completely off when they’re doing work on the line – without warning. When Bill came back and took us off the spring & hooked us back up to the city line – we had water!

That evening, we lost power – haha. We were happy, once again, when it came back on a couple of hours later. Bill entertained the girls with a campfire + fireworks while we were powerless. Such is life on the Reservation – am I right?

We had our home church’s Camp Meeting this past weekend. A camp meeting is a time for the church + the community to eat, worship, learn, and grow together over a two or three-day period. We had four different speakers, amazing music, and delicious food.

This is the first Camp Meeting that we’ve been a part of and we’re thankful to everyone who prayed, helped out, cooked, spoke, and performed. We’re already looking forward to next year’s gathering!

We are continuing to meet with the youth of the surrounding community every other weekend, and we are in in the midst of planning our events for the fall & hosting First Church from VA and a work crew from VA and AL in December.

We’d love for you to pray for these relationships, events, trips, etc. + that His love would be evident in all that we do!

A huge thank you to our friend Charis + her screen printing company for donating so many amazing t-shirts & sweatshirts to our nonprofit. The kids put them on immediately and are thrilled with their new gear. Thank you!!

Well – it’s been a process – and we’re SO thankful to be at this point!

Our contributors are now able to give online {YAY!}. If you would like to partner with our family + Hidden Springs Mission, please contact us. One-time and monthly donations can be given by clicking here.

100% of our donations are currently used to run our nonprofit – thank YOU for giving us the ability to serve here.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all!

Friends – in addition to taking care of ourselves spiritually + emotionally, we’d love for you to specifically pray that Bill & I would take care of ourselves physically. We have several health goals that we’d like to reach over the next few months, and we could use your prayers as we seek to take care of the bodies that God has given us. We know that we’re in a season of busyness, and we want to make sure that we are taking care of ourselves so that we can take care of our girls & fully serve the community around us. Thank you!

I can’t say it enough: we are ALWAYS happy to have people here! If you are a part of a group or organization that would like to help + serve the Navajo community – we would love to have you.

There are so many opportunities, and we’d be so excited to connect with you if that’s something that would interest you & your group.
