Happy September, friends! We are smack dab in the middle of marching/pep band, soccer, cross country, and cheerleading. We knew it would be crazy busy, but I don’t think we took into account how far the girls would be traveling for away competitions/games/meets, etc. Please pray for them as they travel and pray that we would prioritize time with God + each other during this busy season – thank you!
Isabella celebrated her 11th birthday & we were thankful to have had friends here to celebrate with us. She’s jumped into middle school & the cross country team with some nervousness and excitement, and we’re excited to see how God uses her this school year.
A big thank you to Caleb + Seth (former youth group guys now all grown up) for coming out to see us & getting some much-needed work done on the property. While they were here, we were able to get the outdoor pavilion cleared, install an evaporation cooler in the church (it was previously cooled with ceiling fans), and tear down a playground that was no longer safe for use. We appreciate your time & effort!
After the boys left, we had a campout for the middle + high school kids in our community. We hiked, played night games, had s’mores, and hiked some more. Nineteen kids came out plus our four girls. We’re thankful for good weather, a great turnout, and opportune times for Bill to share why we do what we do with the kids.
We would appreciate your prayers as we continue to plan for the Camp Meeting at our home church. For those of you that don’t know – a camp meeting is a time for the church to eat, worship, learn, and grow together over a two or three-day period. Different speakers, special music, and FOOD always make for a great time {I’m clearly excited about the food – haha}. Bill was given the opportunity to speak at a camp meeting in Tuba City & we are excited to have one here at Hidden Springs Bible Church.
We are always happy to have people here! If you are a part of a group or organization that would like to help + serve the Navajo community – we would love to have you. Really! There are plenty of opportunities, and we’d be so excited to connect with you if that’s something that would interest you & your group.
