MID-AUGUST 2019

It’s hard to believe that Bill + the girls have started their second school year in Page, AZ! Today is their third day, and we’re all already exhausted – haha…

Bill will continue to teach middle school math (6th + 7th grade) with a total of 90ish students {schedules are still settling}.

Thank you for praying for Bill as he balances work with our nonprofit along with church & property responsibilities. We’re thankful that he completed his own schoolwork this summer to obtain his AZ teaching certificate making everything official!

Espy is a sophomore in high school and has a great course load to prepare her for college. She’s most excited about honors advanced art + graphic design II. She plays the saxophone in the concert & marching bands and plays the piano as well.

Gianna skipped the eighth grade and is now a freshman in high school. She’s slightly nervous being on a new campus & figuring out all the things, but we’re confident that she’ll adjust with time. She started soccer conditioning this week and is hoping to make the team this season.

Isabella is our fresh middle schooler. She’s in the sixth grade AND she has Bill as her math teacher. She loves the independence that she has at her new school, and she’s excited about trying out for cross country.

Evangeline is in the third grade and attends the intermediate {upper elementary} school. She is most happy about having friends in her class + making new ones. She’s looking forward to cheer camp next month.

We are still so proud of the girls and how they are adjusting to life on the Reservation. The most difficult thing for them – for all of us – is being away from our family & our friends. Although we are thankful for the relationships that God has blessed us with, I think we’ll just always miss our VA people – and that is ok…

Sharing their parents with other people and responsibilities is another struggle as well. We would love for you to pray that Bill & I would remain focused on making God, each other, and the girls our first priority.

We are resuming Realife this weekend. Realife is a youth group we started in the spring for the communities of Bitter Springs, Cedar Ridge, Gap, and Hidden Springs. Thank you for praying as we meet every Saturday night. We are looking forward to seeing God work in & through this group!

Lastly – we want to share some EXCITING news about our nonprofit!

After a year and a half of pursuing the legal formation of Hidden Springs Mission, we are officially OFFICIAL. We are a 501(c)(3) recognized as an entity legal to do business in AZ & we have finalized the setup of our financial accounts. In addition, we have the capability of accepting donations online {insert all the dancing – Grace, not Bill} – and everyone said, AMEN!

If you would like to contribute, you can click here.

As always – thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support!

We couldn’t do any of this without all of you. Please let us know if you have any questions about our organization or our work.

We’d love for you to come visit if you’re ever in the area!
