We just finished hosting the First Church Ministries mission team from Newport News, VA – and it was an amazing time.
The group ran a VBS during the week, and it was so good having all the kids come out each day!
HSM is committed to developing strong relationships with the people in our community. FCM reinforced this goal by partnering with us to host a 4th of July Party, a Paintball Night, a Worship Service, a Block Party, Night Games, a Softball + SnoCone Night, and a Pancake Dinner – along with lots & lots of tag, basketball, and piggyback rides!
One of our favorite moments of the week was being able to baptize our good friend Josh and our neighbor Roshena at Lake Powell. We’re so excited for them both!
Because of the group’s consistency in coming out every summer (and now in December as well) for the past 23 years, we believe we had one of the biggest VBS groups that we’ve had at Hidden Springs in a long time.
We’re so thankful for the people who are willing to take time from their family, friends, and jobs to love on the people who live here!
We are now gearing up to take 35 students from our community (39 including our girls) to a summer camp in Hesperus, Colorado from Friday, July 19th to Sunday, July 21st. We’re so excited to see God working in these kids’ lives!
We’d appreciate your prayers as we continue to finalize transportation + finances. We’ve allotted for 20 students + van/fuel cost in our budget.
If you’d like to help with the cost of the extra 15 students (an amazing issue to have!) plus the extra transportation cost, please contact Grace or respond to this email.
Thank you for partnering with us to show God’s love to the Navajos in Hidden Springs + the surrounding communities – we couldn’t do it without you!
As always – thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support. It means the world to us! Please pray for us as we transition from summer to our back to school / fall season. Bill has already reported back to work, and everyone’s first day of school is this Tuesday!
